Your day begins early with an unforgettable sunrise at Machu Picchu. Once the sun has fully risen, you will begin your guided tour of Machu Picchu with our expert local guide. Once you have enjoyed your meal, you will board the train to Ollantaytambo, where you will continue your journey back to Cusco. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, a private vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Cusco. The journey takes about 2 hours and passes through hills, small villages, and valleys. It is a relaxing trip, ideal for resting after a full day of exploration. You will arrive in Cusco around 7:30 p.m.

First stop: Sacsayhuaman, the Inca fortress
Time on site: 40-50 minutes.

Located a short distance from Cusco, the ruins of Sacsayhuaman are situated in the hills overlooking the city and offer breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city.

Second stop: Qenqo – The ceremonial labyrinth

Time at the site: 30-40 minutes.

Next, you will drive to Qenqo, an archaeological site of religious importance to the Incas. This area is famous for its labyrinthine rock formations, which are believed to have been used for ceremonial rituals.

Third stop: Tambomachay, the temple of water

Next, you will visit Tambomachay, a sacred water temple also known as the Bath of the Inca or Baños del Inca. It is believed that this site was a place for ritual purification and water worship.

Fourth stop: Pukapukara – The Inca military post

The next stop is Pukapukara, a military complex that served as a checkpoint for travelers along the Inca road system.

Last stop: Coricancha, the Temple of the Sun

Coricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun, is one of the most important sites in Cusco. Formerly covered in gold leaf, it was dedicated to Inti, the sun god, the most important deity in the Inca religion.

This temple was a place of worship, where priests and nobles performed rituals to honor the sun. As you walk through the ruins of the temple, you can admire the impressive architecture and the remains of the gold-covered walls that reflected the Incas’ devotion to the sun.

End of  the tour: 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The city tour ends between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., leaving you plenty of time to return to your hotel and relax. You will have the rest of the afternoon free to explore Cusco on your own, whether strolling through its charming streets, visiting its squares, shopping at local markets, or relaxing in one of its many cafés.

Today we will bevisitng the famous Rainbow Mountain of Peru, leaving Cusco at 4:30 a.m. to make sure we are the first to arrive and enjoy the place without crowds or distractions. The bus ride will be comfortable, our first stop will be at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy breakfast included in the price.

After refueling, we will continue our journey for about two more hours until we reach the start of the hike to Rainbow Mountain. The hike, which has a moderate level of difficulty, will take us to this magical place, famous for its vibrant colors and breathtaking scenery.

Once at the top, you will have time to admire the panoramic views and take pictures of this unique natural wonder. After enjoying the Rainbow Mountain, we will return by the same route, and arrive at the restaurant for lunch (lunch included). Finally, we will take the transportation back to Cusco, where you will arrive around 4:00 p.m at your hotel, so you can rest after an incredible day.

Afterwards, we will head to the Inca Museum, where you will learn more about the history and rich cultural heritage of the Incas. The museum houses a fascinating collection of pre-Columbian artifacts, ceramics, textiles, objects and mummies, from the daily life of this civilization, allowing you to better understand the historical context of the region.

Finally, the tour will conclude at the Plaza de Armas, the heart of Cusco. This emblematic square is surrounded by beautiful colonial buildings.

Humantay Lake Excursion: A Majestic Andean Adventure

Our Humantay Lake excursion begins early in the morning, departing from Cusco around 4:30 a.m. to make the most of the day and arrive early at this stunning natural wonder. The bus ride takes approximately 2.5 hours, during which you will have the opportunity to enjoy breathtaking views of the Andean valleys and mountains. Our first stop is at a local restaurant in the village of Mollepata, where you will enjoy a light breakfast before beginning the hike.

The hike to Lake Humantay

Once you arrive at the starting point of the hike, the adventure truly begins. The hike to Lake Humantay takes between 1.5 and 2 hours each way and is considered moderately difficult. The trail winds through beautiful mountainous terrain, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Andean peaks, valleys, and glaciers.

Arrival at Lake Humantay

After spending some time at the lake and enjoying the views, we will begin our descent back to the starting point. The return hike is easier, as we descend through the same beautiful landscape, offering new perspectives of the valley and surrounding mountains.

Once we reach the starting point, we will take you to a local restaurant in Mollepata to enjoy a well-deserved lunch. The meal is included in the tour and offers a delicious selection of traditional Peruvian dishes, allowing you to sample the local cuisine.

Return to Cusco

After lunch, you will return to Cusco. The return trip will take approximately 2 hours.

You will arrive in Cusco around 4:00 p.m., where you can rest.
