Friendly and knowledgeable guide! We did a tour from Ollantaytambo to Maras salt mines and Moray with Carlitos and Cristobal. Carlitos was very knowledgeable and tailored the tour to what we already knew which was great. They also made the recommendation to start early which was a challenge but well worth it for the absence of crowds!

A perfect way to spend the day! This was an excellent tour! Carlitos is a great guide and my wife and I really enjoyed spending the day with him. He was friendly and very knowledgeable, too. We recommend this tour to anyone exploring the area!

Great experience with a local guide I highly recommend this agency. We booked a trip with them from Ollantaytambo to Cusco visiting many unique sites of Sacred Valley on our way. Everything was well organised even though we contacted the agency quite late. The agency was very responsive and we kept in touch on WhatsApp all the time. Our guide Carlitos came on time and he was the nicest person ever, very patient with us and ready to take a lot of pictures. We learned a lot about Inca history from him. The whole day was a pleasure. Thank you guys for taking care of us! Thanks to you we fell in love with Peru even more.

Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley My friend and I took the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour from Cusco with Come See Peru and the whole trip was fabulous. We had an amazing trip and everything went as planned. Highly recommended!
Kickass personalized tour experience for a solo traveler, A++¥ Awesome company!! I am a solo woman and staying in Ollantaytambo and I wanted a tour package created just for me and they were able to do it. I saw the Maras salt flats, Moray, Pisac market, and Sacsayhuaman and it could not have been a more perfect day! The driver was a very safe driver and the guide spoke excellent English and took great pics. 10/10 recommend, you will not be disappointed!!

Wow! I totally didn't think we could do Machu Picchu in a day, but it is! The trip was EPIC! It was a full day but it was a blast! Macchu Picchu was incredible - I was weary that it was built up in my head (wonder of the world and all that) it was just wow. and made even more incredible by our guides - they knew the history, stories, and fun facts. They also made it feel like we were just traveling with friends - we loved our guides. highly recommend

The Best Day EVER! My friends and I did a private tour with Come See Peru Tours 1 day to Machu Picchu. It was a fantastic day! We definitely were moving all day (we got all of our steps :) ) But we didn't feel rushed at all - we truly got to enjoy machu picchu and aguas calientes. I enjoyed our tour guide and their stories both fact and myths about Machu Picchu. Highly recommend this tour company

DETAILED ITINERARY Machu Picchu & Rainbow Mountain 5 day Tour

Day -1 Cusco Airport - Cusco Hotel

We will pick you up from the airport or bus station and take you to your hotel in Cusco (not included) in the afternoon your guide will come to provide you with all the information about the 5 day itinerary as well as, what time you will be picked up the next day, what things you should bring and what services are included on the tour, you will spend the night in Cusco.

We suggest that on the first day it is best to take it easy to adjust to the altitude, also if you are coming from a country with a different time zone.

You can chill out before doing any touring and just walk around Plaza de Armas.  You can take Diamox and  Coca tea. Everyone certainly feels much better on Day 2 in Cusco.  Make sure to stay hydrated, as dehydration can greatly accentuate altitude sickness.

Day -2 Cusco - Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes Town

Our guide will pick you up early from your hotel in Cusco at 8 am to be exact; heading to the Sacred Valley. During the Sacred Valley tour you will visit the following places:

  • Chinchero ruins
  • Andean Textile Center of Alpaca
  • Moray ruins
  • The Salt Mines

Then after we have visited these places, we will drive to the town of Urubamba where we will have lunch. Later on, after a well deserved lunch, we will transport you to Ollantaytambo station from where you will take the train to Aguas Calientes town. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, the staff of the hotel where you will be spending the night will be waiting for you (included in the tour).

Day -3 Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

In the early morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Aguas Calientes and take you to the bus station. The bus ride takes 25 minutes, based on which time you chose to visit Machu Picchu. Your guide will take you to the highest part of Machu Picchu where you will be able to take the best pictures of Machu Picchu, then you will visit the Inca bridge located at about 20 minutes of walking. After this you begin to explore Machu Picchu, Normally travel agencies that offer tours to Machu Picchu don’t offer this option. So that you only visit Machu Picchu for 2 hours. However we make your visit last more than just 2 hours making the visit longer we visit the Inca bridge without additional cost, making our clients enjoy more their experience in Machu Picchu. After the tour you will take the bus back to town, where your guide will be waiting for you for lunch (included).

After lunch, you will take the train back to Cusco at approximately 3:20pm to Ollantaytambo train station, where our driver will be waiting to take you back to Cusco in a private car.

Day - 4 Rainbow Mountain Hike

From there we will have the most beautiful views of the Andes Mountains as well as the Red Valley on the other side. After a great time, we will descend for 1 hour, to carry on with our journey by car until we get to the place where we will have lunch. as soon as we have lunch, we will be returning to Cusco at approximately 4pm. the tour ends at your hotel in Cusco

Yes, you can make this change personally at the Aguas Calientes train station. However, you will be asked to pay an additional charge for changing the ticket and this change will be subject to the availability of spaces and timetables on the train. In this case you will be responsible for assuming the cost of your return transportation from Ollantaytambo to Cusco.

How long does it take to return to Cusco?

Most of these establishments have warehouses where you can store your belongings. If you don’t trust where you are staying, we will gladly store your belongings in our office.

What is the best time to travel to Machu Picchu?

May to September (dry season) is the ideal time to travel the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. These months are generally recommended because there is almost no rain.

In the months of November to March the summer (rainy season) is present. This season is usually very rainy, which makes it difficult to walk and access. You won’t even be able to walk the Inca Trail in February due to the rains and maintenance work.
