AMAZING! This trip was absolutely amazing! We did the half day Moray terraces and salt mines. Ruben was our tour guide and he exceeded our expectations! He was so knowledgeable and we learned so much history from him! We also got to do a chicha tasting where they also showed us the process of making it and then we went to the alpaca farm and learned how they create wool from alpacas! It was such an amazing experience! And it was only us so it was a great private tour! A must do in Peru and especially if you have Ruben as your tour guide!!! Nicole c2024-11-27 A Perfect Day in Peru! We did a full day tour through the Sacred Valley with Jimmy and it was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and kind and went out of his way to accommodate all our needs. I would do another one with this company if I ever return to Peru. I highly recommend them. 100% Jenny D2024-11-26 Fantastic half day sacred valley tour We had an amazing time on our tour. Our guide Carlos was fantastic and so knowledgeable. He made getting around so easy and took so many photos for us. It was a great way to see these sites and would recommend this to anyone traveling in the sacred valley for the day. jaclyn s2024-10-06 Beautiful sites, fantastic guides, and clear communication My fiancé and I did the sacred valley tour with Carlos yesterday. The experience was one we’ll remember for a long time. Carlos was very knowledgeable about all of the sites, including Pisac, Moray, and Maras salt mines, and he was also personable and able to accommodate doing the tour in English. Michael was also a fantastic driver - we felt very safe with him during the tour. I’m very grateful we booked with Come See Peru and look forward to using them again the next time we’re in town. Rob H2024-09-19 The best Machu Picchu experience! Our tour guide Nilo was the best! He was highly recommended to us by friends who had him as a guide last year. He met up with us at our hotel the night before our tour to go over everything we needed to know for Machu Picchu the next morning. He was so knowledgeable about all things Inca and MP, and was an integral part of my engagement happening up there! Such a nice, friendly guy, and genuinely wanted us to have a great experience. Definitely recommending this company to everyone! Nomad655115581282024-09-18 Can’t say enough good things about Come See Peru! My partner and I had an amazing experience using Come See Peru tours! This company came highly recommended from friends who used them last year, and they had nothing but great things to say. Michael and Carlos picked us up at our air bnb, were very friendly and courteous, and went over the itinerary of our tour for the day. The guides were very informative, and you can tell they just wanted us to have a great time and see as much as possible. My partner and I also appreciated all of the photos Michael took for us throughout the tour, and enjoyed getting to know them on the drive. All around great company, and very organized! Nomad655115581282024-09-18 Interesting and well executed tour Great experience with this agent from starting to liaising through WA with JC to tour day itself. We booked a tour quite last min and comeseeperu was able to arrange for a tour guide and driver. Tour guide , Carlos was very detailed in his explanation, shared with us the history of scared valley and Cusco as we just arrived in the city. The tips and explanation were helpful and we were better to orientate after that. Driver drove stable. Pick up was on time and the tour package itinerary where quite unique as from my research/comparison from other companies, hence that’s the main reason we chose them for our tour. Liling T2024-09-14 Excellent experience We had a great experience. Their communication was excellent, they worked with me on putting together a private tour and picked us up at our hotel. Carlos was a very informative guide who shared much great insight in the locations, culture, and history. We also got to have samples of chicha and local salt. Highly recommend! Pioneer194723623702024-09-09 Knowledgeable, friendly, excellent private tour in sacred valley We just got back from a week long trip to Peru and booked couple of private trips through ComeSeePeru (Julio). We contacted comeseeperu for options to visit sacred valley sites on the way from Cusco to Ollantaytambo. Julio worked with us via whatsapp to come up with a trip to see some of the sites. Carlos (Guide) with Michael (Driver) picked us up from Cusco airport and we visited the Alpaca farm, Maras, Moray ruins and got dropped at Ollantaytambo. Carlos was extremely knowledgeable, caring and friendly. Having just arrived in Cusco from Boston, he checked in with us regularly to make sure we were ok with the altitude / travel fatigue. The transportation was a clean / new large comfortable vehicle. We were highly impressed with the tour, guides and the value for money, that we decided to book a full day customized tour in Cusco when we arrived back in Cusco later in the trip. We combined the archelogical sites with the walking tour in Cusco to cover more sites in our limited day. Ruben (guide) and Florentino (driver) again impressed us with their care, knowledge and professionalism. Ruben is an excellent guide with great pride and knowledge of his culture. We got a deeper appreciation of the beautiful country and its history thanks to Carlos and Ruben. Julio is prompt and responsive to whatsapp messages and was very easy to work with to arrange the tours. We felt we had local friends during our entire trip! BostonTourist42024-08-30 Excellent experience with Come See Peru Our group of 10 people had the pleasure of booking 2 full-day tours (Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake) as well as 2 half-day tours of the Sacred Valley (one day seeing Maras & Moray and the other day through the Pisac route). We had private transportation. Our driver, René, was amazing and super skilled. We were definitely impressed with his maneuvering of that big van in some very narrow and high up roads. They even had blankets for us on the van on the days when we'd leave very early in the morning for the full-day tours. We also had at least one tour guide with us each day (Juan Carlos), but because of the size of our group we also had a second guide (Maikol) during the full-day tours.Maikol was incredibly attentive and cheered on and cared for the members of our group that were struggling with the hikes at high altitudes. Our main guide, Carlos, was fantastic and shared so much about his knowledge of the locations we visited and the culture with us. Carlos also made sure to brief us a day in advance to prepare us for each of the tours. He was also great at recommending us foods and restaurants to try. We had an amazing experience exploring Perú and a lot of it was thanks to Come See Peru Tours. The company would check in with me every evening after the tours to see how our experience was. They were also very responsive over WhatsApp in helping me organize and book the tours, provided us with good pricing based on our group size and needs, and were flexible in customizing a couple of the tours to fit our traveling needs and sightseeing interests. Our whole group was very pleased with their professionalism and kindness. I highly recommend their services. Terry T2024-07-13

Overview
Machu Picchu Tour from Urubamba (6 Days) – Overview
Discover the key to overcoming altitude sickness and optimizing your adventure by choosing Urubamba or Ollantaytambo as your base. This strategic choice not only minimizes the risk of altitude-related discomfort, but also puts you closer to captivating places like the Maras Salt Mines, Moray, Ollantaytambo, Pisac and Machu Picchu. (To see more details about our tour departing from Urubamba, scroll down.).
Why Staying in Urubamba?
Staying in the Sacred Valley can be a strategic option for travelers concerned about altitude sickness when visiting Cusco. Staying in the Sacred Valley serves as a pre-acclimatization step before ascending to even higher altitudes in Cusco. This allows the body to adapt to the thinner air and lower oxygen levels, making the transition smoother and decreasing the likelihood of altitude-related symptoms. The Sacred Valley is located at a lower altitude than Cusco, the gateway city to Machu Picchu. While Cusco is about 3,400 meters (11,200 feet) above sea level, the Sacred Valley is at a lower altitude, typically ranging from 2,500 to 2,800 meters (8,200 to 9,200 feet). This lower altitude can help acclimatize the body more gradually, reducing the risk and severity of altitude sickness symptoms. Many important Inca sites, such as Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo and Pisac, Moray and the Salt Mines are closer to the Sacred Valley than to Cusco. Staying in the Valley can make visiting these attractions more convenient, reducing travel time between monuments and allows travelers to explore with a more relaxed itinerary.
Why choose this tour?
Optimal acclimatization: Begin your adventure in the Sacred Valley (2,800 meters) and gradually move up in altitude to minimize the risk of altitude sickness during visits to Cusco.
In-depth exploration: Over 6 days, explore the archaeological wonders of the Sacred Valley, marvel at the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu, hike the fascinating Rainbow Mountain and discover the cultural richness of Cusco.
